Vanity Kills: New Bare Escentuals bareMinerals READY SPF 15 Touch Up Veil- Pressed Powder

Hey Everyone!

Bare Escentuals has been making beauty history lately by releasing several mineral products as pressed powders. Now, that my not sound too impressive, but it is. Bare Escentuals has taken their award winning mineral products from their bareMinerals line and making them in pressed form, without compromising on the quality of the minerals in the product (which has not really been done successfully before). Their latest release is the pressed form of one of their best products (and one of my personal favorites) the Mineral Veil.  The Mineral Veil is a loose finishing powder that goes on clean, is light weight, and leaves skin looking and feeling super smooth.
It is probably a miracle product, to be honest. I don't go a day without applying the stuff, because it makes my skin look so natural and clean, even if I'm wearing layers upon layers of makeup. But traveling with a loose powder is never easy, because you always run the risk of it spilling in your purse and what not. But Bare Escentuals' new version of their award winning finishing powder is in a pressed form, making it so easy to travel with and use on the go (as I am often applying makeup in the car- I know I'm not alone, ladies!).

So here it is, just released and ready to purchase, the bareMinerals READY SPF 15 Touch Up Veil:

In The Closet: Gypsy Warrior

Hey Everyone!

So as you may already know, one of my hobbies is scouring the internet for the best new online stores with either the greatest deals or the cutest clothes, and then sharing them with you. My fifth post on this blog was about the Korean store AtSeoul.

I don't know if you all have been noticing, but I put up new links on my sidebar with great stores for you to check out, and I really suggest you do. But this post is not about MYHABIT or Rent The Runway or  Net-A-Porter, all of which are amazing sites, but about a store I literally discovered 5 minutes ago.

The store is called "Gypsy Warrior" and it is fantastic. They have amazing jewelry, accessories, shoes, vintage finds and more, all of which is at a very decent price. Not only do they have great prices, but they offer free shipping anywhere in the U.S. plus 20% off your entire order if you type in the word "FACEBOOK" at check out. The link to the site is here:

Vanity Kills: Fall 2011/2012 Hair and Makeup Trends

Hey Everyone!

So I was browsing YouTube recently and I came across a video that perfectly showcased this seasons hair and makeup trends. The video is by Fashion TV (FTV), who went backstage during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2011 to discover this Fall's greatest hair and makeup looks. My favorites include:
HAIR
Nº21
Alberta Ferretti
Sonia Rykiel
MAKE UP
Nº21
Balmain
Alberta Ferretti
Marni
Chloe
Rue Du Mail

A very big makeup trend for this Fall is bright, bold lips, particularly in shades of red. To pull this off in an everyday setting, I suggest keeping the rest of your makeup simple. Keep your face natural (use foundation + concealer to do this, and very little blush on the apples of your cheeks), no eye makeup, perfectly groomed brows, and black mascara on the top lashes. You don't want to make this look too dramatic by adding eyeliner, bronzed skin or too much mascara, because the lip will be bold enough.
